The organization was created in the August 1936 with the mission of prosecuting collaborators of the military revolt. After a very violent phase followed by a progressive control of the Generalitat of Catalonia, the patrols were dissolved in the June of 1937 due to the military and political control taken by the Communist Party of Spain and other pro-Soviet forces.
